The Big Dipper
Ingredients
Dip
  • 1cup Cottage cheese
  • 1/2cup Plain yogurt
  • 1 Green onion
  • 1/4tsp Dried dill weed
  • 1/4tsp Lemon juice
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch pepper
Vegetables
  • Cucumber, carrots, celery, broccoli, mushrooms, red or green paper
Instructions
  1. Finely chop green onion.
  2. Mix together green onion, cottage cheese, yogurt and spices in a bowl.
  3. Wash the vegetables.
  4. Peel the carrots.
  5. Cut the carrots, celery and red pepper into strips.
  6. Cut the broccoli into florets.
  7. Slice the cucumber and the mushrooms can be left whole.
  8. Organize vegetables on plates surrounding the bowl of dip.

Cottage cheese is a source of calcium and is low in fat. Calcium is needed for strong bones and strong teeth. Cottage cheese is healthy and can be eaten any time of the day!

• For breakfast, swirl cottage cheese with jam and try it with toast

• For lunch, put a spoonful of cottage cheese on a slice of tomato and add your favourite salad dressing

• Try cottage cheese on top of a baked potato for supper
